Naranj (Citrus Fruit.) is 2 years old next month.
Opening its doors in Riad Zitoune el Jdid (an area of the Medina) it instantly caught attention and has managed to sustain its reputation. It is a real find and serves excellent Middle Eastern influenced food. Ideal for visitors who want a break from traditional Moroccan food but not wanting European offerings.
We have been here a number of times and it has converted me to hummus (I am not normally a fan). The menu is quite small but it has a number of tantalising options and offers excellent quality. Good service too. You get the feeling the staff enjoy working here.
Like most Moroccan restaurants it isn't big on dessert but it does offer a fabulous cheesecake which is well worth planning for when ordering.
In busy times it is best to make a reservation for evening dining as it now has a well deserved following. Highly recommended.
