Easyjet is a major contributor to tourism in Morocco. Britain's largest airline already flies from 9 major cities within Europe to Marrakech. Two of these cities are within the United Kingdon with daily flights from London Gatwick and flights from Manchester three times per week.
Easyjet has announced a new route to Marrakech that will commence on 15 February 2013. The route will be three times per week from Stansted Airport. The flights will be three times per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and prices are currently from £26.43.
There are now 7 UK airports connected by direct flights to Marrakech; Newcastle (Jet2), Manchester (Easyjet, Thomsonfly, Firstchoice), Luton (Ryanair), Gatwick (Easyjet, Thomsonfly, Firstchoice, British Airwars), Leeds Bradford (Jet2), Birmingham (Thomsonfly, Firstchoice), Heathrow (Royal Air Maroc).
In the meantime the airport at Marrakech continues to build an additional terminal in preparation for further passenger increases.
