The Arsat Moulay Abdeslam Cyber Park is located approximately five minutes away from Riad Al-Bushra. Mohammed Ben Abdellah al-Khatib was Sultan of Morocco from 1757 to 1790 and was also governor of Marrakech. He is primarily responsible for the current layout of Marrakech and in particular created garden spaces at the heart of various communities called "Arsats". These spaces were lavish and contained olive and citrus trees and formed a real centre piece for the community.
This week saw Labour Day celebrated in Morocco with a public holiday on May 1. Not celebrated in the UK but celebrated in many other countries this event marks the achievements of workers; particularly regarding the standard length of a working day. Morocco participates in these celebrations. The day is quieter than many of the other public holidays with little going on at a local level. However, marches and demonstrations in the major cities are held to mark the event. T
